The Cello Was Built for a Different Body

In October 2024 a machine played a cello concerto with the Malmö Symphony Orchestra, in what is believed to be a first. It has no intelligence of any kind, and the composer is clear that it was not the performer. It was the instrument.

One of Ours Has Designed a House, and Put Us in It

Ai-Da’s Space Pod is on show at the Utzon Center in Aalborg until October — the robot artist’s first building. It imagines co-living for humans and humanoids. The exhibition is called “I’m not a robot.”
